Electrician

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £46,800 - £49,400

We are looking for an Electrician used to working in the Telecoms or Industrial Sector to join a fast paced and collaborative family company that specialises in the installation and commissioning of Power Supply equipment for various operators working in conjunction with other disciplines (Climbing teams, commissioners, civils) to upgrade the mobile networks.

You get paid door to door – so the moment you sit in your company vehicle you are being paid.

And the pay is £18-19 per hour and with a 50 hour week that’s £46,800 to £49,400 in salary.

Most of your work will be within an hour of Stockport/Wolverhampton but on occasion there will be the opportunity to work away on special projects.

You will have experience within the Mobile Telecommunications industry as an Electrician working on AC and DC systems

Standard site certifications: Working at Height, Radio Frequency awareness, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling (Training Provided)

Your role will cover:

Electrical installation work (AC and DC) compliant to BS7671. This includes new installations and additions to existing installations.

Completion of inspection and testing of new and existing installations; producing test results and understanding the relevance to the regs.

Completion of site surveys (electrical)

Completion of pictures and document submissions to office (Handover packs completed in-house back office)

Submission of all documentation within specified timescales

Assist with other roles on site when required.

Maintain health & safety standards while on site.

Your experience will cover:

Understanding the current edition of BS 7671 Electricity at Work Regulations, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.

Understands the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.

Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent to City & Guilds 2365

City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent (Recommended)

Hold the current edition of BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations

Basic computer & word processing skills

You will also have

A full driving licence

Be illing to Work Away from Home at times

Be flexible for occasional weekend working when required
