At just over 10 years old and with nearly 100 employees our client is a successful legal practice that continues to grow and go places.
They need a talented Costs Lawyer to help support this growth. Initially a standalone role with a view to expanding next year with an assistant.
You will be a qualified costs lawyer with at least2 years experience of dealing with costs disputes.
You will be articulate, driven and able to deal with all aspects of costs management and detailed assessment process. And able to cover a wide range of matters.
So, what will your day to day role be?
Drafting bills, budgets and associated documentation
Drafting replies to points of dispute
Preparing for a detailed assessment hearing
Negotiation of costs to settlement
Liaising and reporting to solicitor clients
Communicating with clients in an effective manner that ensures continuous workflow
Using Proclaim case management system
Keeping up to date with regulatory changes
Research using internal and external resources
Attention to Detail
A team player who is also independent
